Two Kyrgyz films recognized at International Film Festival in Russia

Bishkek, Aug.28, 2019. /Kabar/. Two Kyrgyz films were recognized at Silver Akbuzat International Film Festival in Russia.

The press service of the Department of the Cinematography of Kyrgyzstan reported that the event took place in Ufa, the capital of Tatarstan, on Aug. 24-27.

Kyrgyz director Bekzat Pirmatov was awarded the Best Director Award for his film “Aurora”.

Another Kyrgyz film “Song of the Tree” of director Aibek Dayirbekov received a special prize “For the national spirit of Malik Yakshimbetov” from the Union of Cinematographers of Bashkortostan.

Lyubov Borisova, a film director from Yakutia, won the Grand Prix of the Festival.

Note that, Kyrgyzstan presented four films at the IV International Silver Akbuzat Film Festival.
