Bishkek, Nov. 5, 2020. /Kabar/. Two films produced by Kyrgyzstan’s National Film Studio take part in the Moscow Premiere International Film Festival of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
According to the press service of the National Film Studio, a full-length Shambala film by Artykpai Suyundukov, based on the White Ship novel by Chyngyz Aitmatov participates in the competition program of feature films.
The second film - On the Border directed by Tynchtyk Abylkasymov will be shown in the competition of short films.
This year's competition programs for feature and short films include works from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Lithuania, Russia, Ukraine, Uzbekistan.
The world premieres of most of these films were held at the largest film festivals of Europe and Asia - in Berlin, Venice, Busan, Shanghai (feature films), as well as in Clermont-Ferrand, Tampere, Toronto (short films).
The Moscow Premiere festival which has its history since 2003 will be held on Nov. 12-17, 2020.
