Two mobile field hospitals handed over to Ministry of Emergency Situations of Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Sept. 25, 2023. /Kabar/. President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov handed over two mobile field hospitals tothe Ministry of Emergency Situations of the country.

The mobile hospitals were donated by the Chinese side as part of the agreements between the leaders of the two countries. They are designed to provide medical care to victims in emergency zones.

The mobile hospital of the China Sinopharm International company was specially created on the basis of SUVs and consists of 19 vehicles of different directions, each of which has a separate function.

Its main goal is to quickly reach the sites of natural disasters and mass disasters with the help of specially trained specialists. The hospital is designed to be deployed in a short time. One mobile hospital has the ability to receive 150 outpatients per day, perform up to 20 surgical operations, admit 90 patients for inpatient treatment, and also has an intensive care unit with eight beds.

Each hospital is serviced by 60 specialists, and it takes 5-6 hours to build. Separate tents with 60 seats with all amenities are provided for medical and service personnel.

The head of state in his speech expressed confidence that these hospitals will save lives in various unforeseen situations.

“The number of natural and man-made disasters is increasing all over the world, and this is becoming a global problem that worries people all over the world. We also see natural disasters that turn skyscrapers into rubble in the blink of an eye. We understand that people are vulnerable to natural disasters. Taking into account the emergency situations disturbing the peoples of the world, two years ago, in February 2021, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Emergency Situations were instructed to purchase a mobile field hospital,” the president emphasized.

The head of state expressed gratitude to the Chinese side and said that one field hospital will be deployed in Bishkek, and the second in Osh.

Sadyr Zhaparov expressed hope that the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Emergency Situations will take the opportunity to complete the organization of the Joint Emergency Medical Service and the unification of field medicine as in developed countries.

“This equipment will allow us to provide prompt, accessible and qualified medical care in emergency situations. In February of this year, while handing over firefighting equipment, I publicly stated that the profession of rescuer will turn into a profession that people are proud of. Today I can repeat these words with great confidence. I firmly believe that the lifeguard profession will become one that people are proud of and young people will be enthusiastic about in the future,” he concluded.
