Bishkek, Dec.24, 2019. /Kabar/. The Management of Sports Facilities and Sports Equipment State Enterprise under the State Agency for Youth Affairs, Physical Culture and Sports of Kyrgyzstan received a proposal on private initiative on two public-private partnership (PPP) projects.
According to the press service of the Economy Ministry, the first project is “Reconstruction of the pool of Kaba uulu Kojomkul Sports Palace with a multifunctional complex”.
The second project is “Reconstruction of the Dolon Omurzakov Small Arena into an indoor multifunctional sports and entertainment complex”.
The state partner made a decision on preliminary acceptance of these proposals.
At the next stage, according to the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic “On Public-Private Partnership”, if the public partner makes a final decision on the adoption of the proposal for private initiative, the public partner within a period not exceeding 30 calendar days, prepare the project and announce a tender for the selection of a private partner.
A public–private partnership (PPP, 3P, or P3) is a cooperative arrangement between two or more public and private sectors, typically of a long-term nature. It involves an arrangement between a unit of government and a business that brings better services or improves the city’s capacity to operate effectively. Public–private partnerships are primarily used for infrastructure provision, such as the building and equipping of schools, hospitals, transport systems, and water and sewerage systems.
