Bishkek, March 11, 2021 / Kabar /. Two citizens died in Kara-Suu region of Kyrgyzstan due to poisoning with homemade canned food, the rest of the victims are receiving treatment, the Ministry of Health told Kabar Agency.
According to data of the ministry, in total 13 victims were hospitalized in the hospitals of Osh Oblast. Of these, 2 victims (women 50 and 58 years old) died in hospital despite resuscitation measures.
Currently 1 victim is in the intensive care unit of the Osh interregional united hospital, the condition is assessed by doctors as extremely serious, he is on a ventilator.
The remaining 10 victims were hospitalized in the infectious diseases department of the Kara-Suu territorial hospital, their condition is stable and serious. All receive appropriate treatment.
In addition, 15 more people from among the participants in the event are under the supervision of family doctors at their place of residence. Epidemiological investigation continues.
All the victims were visiting their relative on March 6, who was celebrating her 60th birthday. Signs of the disease began to appear on March 7, all victims self-medicated and did not seek medical help. And only after lunch on March 9, due to the deteriorating condition, they went to hospital.
