Bishkek, April 28, 2022. / Kabar /. Bishkek will host the Asian U17-U23 Wrestling Championship, President of the Wrestling Federation of Kyrgyzstan Melis Turganbaev told at a press conference at Kabar News Agency.
He said that the championship will be held from 19 to 26 June 2022.
“To date, 25 countries have confirmed their participation. In addition, the head of the Asian Wrestling Federation Daulet Turlykhanov and President of the International Federation of the United World Wrestling (UWW) Nenad Lalovich will take part in the opening of the championship,” he said.
In addition, the head of the federation indicated that as part of the opening of the championship, on June 18, 2022, the UWW-Asia General Assembly will be held.
It should be noted that the Asian Championship in two age categories is held simultaneously for the first time.
United World Wrestling (UWW) is an international federation of Greco-Roman, freestyle and women's wrestling, which are Olympic sports.
