UAE business community interested in mutually beneficial cooperation with Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Dec. 18, 2018. / Kabar /. United Arab Emirates (UAE) business community is interested in establishing mutually beneficial cooperation with Kyrgyzstan, Minister of Economy of UAE Sultan Al-Mansouri told during the meeting with Kyrgyzstan’s Foreign Minister Chingiz Aidarbekov in Abu Dhabi within the framework of his official visit to the United Arab Emirates at the invitation of the Emirates side.

In this regard, the sides stressed the promising areas of bilateral cooperation for the near and medium term, such as agriculture, food sector, halal industry and tourism.

The sides noted the presence of important fundamental agreements, including on the avoidance of double taxation, on the protection and promotion of investment, on air traffic and other documents that create the basis for enhancing the interaction of countries in the field of economy and trade.

The ministers expressed interest in expanding trade and economic cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the United Arab Emirates, as well as in implementing joint economic projects, primarily in such areas as agriculture, processing industry, Islamic banking, tourism, etc.

Kyrgyz Minister Aidarbekov informed the interlocutor about the measures taken in Kyrgyzstan and aimed at the development of free economic zones, the construction of trade and logistics complexes, agriculture, the supply of drinking water and other types of environmentally friendly products to foreign countries.

During the conversation, the sides also discussed the organization in 2019 of the first meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Cooperation, established under the current Intergovernmental Agreement on Economic Cooperation.
