Bishkek, Sept. 4, 2021. / Kabar /. Representatives of the Ministry of Energy and Industry of the Kyrgyz Republic and energy companies met with a delegation from the United Arab Emirates, the press service of the energy ministry reported.
The meeting participants discussed issues of cooperation in the field of energy. The Kyrgyz side provided information on energy projects in the country.
During the meeting, representatives of the UAE noted that Kyrgyzstan has a high potential for renewable energy sources and that MASDAR is interested in investing in solar power plants. It should be noted that this company has invested USD 110,000 in the construction of a solar power plant in Uzbekistan.
Following the meeting, it was proposed to sign a memorandum of cooperation between the energy ministries of the two countries.
