UAE intends to establish relations with Kyrgyzstan in various directions

Bishkek, Feb. 11, 2018. /Kabar/. Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Sapar Isakov met today with Chairman of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry Majid Saif Al Ghurair, as part of his participation in the 6th World Summit of Governments in Dubai (United Arab Emirates), the Kyrgyz Government’s press service reported.

The prime minister said that to date close and constructive relations have been established between Kyrgyzstan and the UAE based on the principles of friendship and mutual understanding. In addition, he said that long-term partnerships between business communities of the two countries are growing.

"The Government of the Kyrgyz Republic attaches special importance to the development of economic relations with the United Arab Emirates and is open to further deepening practical cooperation in all fields. In this connection, today's meeting is especially important for us," Isakov stressed.

The Prime Minister noted that Kyrgyzstan, due to its favorable geographical position, has all the opportunities and a favorable investment climate for foreign entrepreneurs.

Chairman of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry said that the development of business relations was a solid foundation of previously reached agreements.

"We have been cooperating with the countries of Central Asia for five years already. We are focused on strengthening and further developing friendly, economic relations with our partners," he said.

Majid Saif Al Ghurair noted that the UAE intend to establish relations with Kyrgyzstan in various directions. In 2019, the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry plans to hold a conference in Dubai with the participation of the Central Asian states, and therefore the Kyrgyz side was invited to participate in this event.

At the end of the meeting, the Kyrgyz prime minister stressed that the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic welcomes the Emirates companies for implementing joint investment projects in the field of transport communications, industry, agriculture, energy, processing, food and light industries.

"The emirates are the main trading partner of Kyrgyzstan not only in the Gulf region, but throughout the Arab world," the prime minister said.
