Bishkek, March 10, 2021 . / Kabar /. Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov received on Wednesday Hamad Salem bin Cardous Al Ameri, the Director General of the Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahayan Charitable Foundation.
The sides exchanged views on the prospects for joint cooperation, including in the field of education, as well as the current activities of the Fund in Kyrgyzstan, the press service of the Kyrgyz president reported.
The head of state noted with satisfaction the activities of the Fund in implementation of social and infrastructure projects in the country.
Sadyr Zhaparov emphasized that religious education is currently an urgent issue for Kyrgyzstan as well, and that its solution requires the adoption of comprehensive measures. In this regard, he expressed gratitude to the Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahayan Charitable Fund for supporting the project of construction of the Islamic Academy in Tokmok.
He expressed confidence that this project will be an additional impetus for the development of relations between Kyrgyzstan and the United Arab Emirates, and noted the interest in continuing productive cooperation.
Head of the Fund Hamad Salem bin Cardous Al Ameri informed about the construction of the Islamic Academy, for which a land plot of 2 hectares was allocated to the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic in Tokmok town of Chui Oblast.
The foundations were planned to be laid in 2020 but the project had to be postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The estimated total number of students at the future Islamic Academy will be 200, of which 150 will be enrolled in master's and doctoral programs, and 50 places will be allocated for preparatory courses and advanced training courses.
