Bishkek, Aug. 22, 2024. / Kabar/. Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to the United Arab Emirates Abdilatif Jumabaev met in Abu Dhabi on August 21, with Director of the Department of Asian and Pacific Affairs of the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs Abdulaziz Al-Neyadi.
The diplomatic mission reported that during the meeting, the parties discussed a number of topical issues related to the development of trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and the UAE. Particular attention was paid to the prospects for further strengthening of bilateral ties in these areas.
A positive outcome of the meeting was the agreement to sign a Memorandum of Understanding on mutual recognition and exchange of driver's licenses issued by the relevant government agencies of the two countries. The text of the document was previously agreed upon by the parties, which emphasizes the readiness to further develop cooperation in the field of road safety and convenience for citizens of both countries. To finalize the agreement, a video conference with the participation of representatives of the Kyrgyz and Emirati sides is planned for August 28, 2024, at which the final verification of the text of the document will be carried out and it will be prepared for signing.
