Bishkek, Nov. 20, 2018. /Kabar/. Kyrgyzstan's UFC fighter in the lightest weight category Valentina Shevchenko told about how her joint training camp went along with Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino and confessed that she is going to have ahead-of-time win against Joanna Jędrzejczyk in their upcoming fight for the championship belt of the organization.
Valentina Shevchenko and Joanna Jędrzejczyk will fight for the title of the champion in lightest weight category at the UFC 231 tournament on December 8 in the Canadian city of Ontario, mmaboxing.ru wrote.
“It is true that we trained with Cris. We have a similar way of thinking with her, we both started a fighting career a long time ago, my first fight according to the rules of MMA was in 2002, I believe she also started at about the same time. We know how things were before, how hard it was for women to have the opportunity to compete, what a difficult path we had to pass in order to be where we are now,” Shevchenko said.
“I like to work with people who share my love for martial arts. She is fully focused on MMA and wants to constantly improve. We have a lot in common from this perpective,” the Kyrgyzstani fighter added.
“I will step in the octagon and give it all I’ve got. My main goal is not to have control of the fight. I want ahead-of-time win,” Valentina Shevchenko said.
