Bishkek, July 14, 2021. / Kabar / . Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Ulukbek Maripov held a meeting with representatives of the business delegation from the Republic of Korea.
The delegation has arrived in the republic to study existing opportunities for the implementation of investment projects and public-private partnership (PPP) projects in priority areas of mutual interest, the press service of the Cabinet of Ministers said.
Maripov noted that the Republic of Korea is one of the main partners of Kyrgyzstan in the Asia-Pacific region, noting the special role of the representative of the delegation Park Hye-Rin in the opening of a modern laboratory for PCR testing in an accelerated mode at Manas International Airport in Bishkek.
During the meeting, the sides discussed the measures taken by the government to create a favorable business environment, as well as to protect the interests of foreign investors, which are identified as priorities of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic.
A constructive dialogue took place on the use of Korean experience and achievements in the field of digitalization and advanced SMART-technology.
In turn, representatives of Korean companies noted readiness to expand mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation, including the implementation of projects in the field of digitalization, medicine, education, tourism and sports.
They added that following the discussion of promising projects in the field of energy, a Memorandum on Cooperation was signed with Kyrgyzstan’s Ministry of Energy and Industry, consultations were held with the Ministry of Health and Social Development to create a diagnostic center and laboratory within PPP.
The Korean side had a detailed exchange of views on online education with the Kyrgyz Ministry of Education and Science, as well as on creating a platform and advice for secondary schools and the creation of unique content for them, also planned to sign the Memorandum of Cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Science.
At the end of the meeting , Ulukbek Maripov assured of a readiness to make every effort to further strengthen bilateral relations, as well as to provide all possible assistance in the implementation of all projects of mutual interest.
