Bishkek, June 7 / Kabar /. UN Secretary General António Guterres travels to Central Asian countries: Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan and Turkmenistan, the UN News Center reported.
On June 8, Guterres will fly to Astana, where he will take part in the celebrations on the occasion the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit.
On June 9, Antonio Guterres will meet with President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev and deliver a speech at the plenary session of the SCO Summit.
On Saturday, June 10, the UN Secretary General will arrive in Samarkand, Uzbekistan, where he meets with the country's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The same day afternoon the head of the UN will travel to Nukus, where he attends cemetery of ships in the Aral Sea.
Then on Sunday, June 11, Guterres will arrive in Bishkek. After a meeting with Kyrgyz President Almazbek Atambayev, the UN Secretary General will travel to Osh to participate in events dedicated to the June 2010 events, where seven years ago there was an outbreak of inter-ethnic violence.
On June 12, the UN head will visit Tajikistan, and on June 13 he leaves for Turkmenistan. He will meet with the presidents of these countries. In Dushanbe, Guterres will speak at a conference on sustainable development, and in Ashgabat take part in a high-level dialogue on the implementation of the strategy to combat terrorism in Central Asia.
