Bishkek, May 12 / Kabar /. First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Dinara Kemelova met on Thursday with Petko Draganov, Special Representative of the UN Secretary General, Head of the UN Regional Center for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA), located in Ashgabat, Turkmenistan.
The press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reports that, during the conversation the sides discussed the upcoming visit of the UN Secretary General Antonio Guterrish to Kyrgyzstan, as well as regional security issues, counteraction to extremism and terrorism, water resources, cooperation of the Central Asian countries.
Kemelova stressed the special importance of preventive diplomacy and the continuation of an active dialogue and cooperation between the countries of Central Asia with the assistance of the UN Regional Center.
