Jeddah (UNA) – The Union of News Agencies of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (UNA) is participating in the Caucasus Investment Forum, which will be held from 15-17 July 2024 in Grozny, the capital of the Chechen Republic, with the participation of more than 2,000 guests representing 33 countries.
The participation of the Union comes within the framework of its efforts to strengthen media relations between the OIC Member States and the Federal Republic of Russia, and to enhance the participation of the media from both sides in major events.
The Director General of the Federation, Mohamed bin Abd Rabbo Al-Yami, explained that the Federation's participation in this important event comes within the framework of its coordinating roles to arrange the participation of member news agencies in international forums and promote joint media action towards them.
Al-Yami pointed out that the Union has prepared a media plan in cooperation with the Ministry of Press and Information of the Chechen Republic, to provide extensive press coverage of the event, which contributes to supporting the objectives of the conference related to promoting investment activities and trade exchange between the North Caucasus region and the countries of the "Islamic Cooperation".
The forum will discuss a number of issues including the development of investor's economic zones, the development of the tourism sector in the Greater Caucasus, as well as technological tools for business communication, the integrated development of the Russia's sanatorium and resort industry, energy infrastructure as a basis for the development of the South Russia, biological and digitization of agriculture in the North Caucasus Federal District.
