Under new Constitution, judges will be given right to write and initiate laws: Zhaparov

Bishkek, March 5, 2021 . / Kabar /. Under the new Constitution, judges will be given the right to write and initiate laws, President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Zhaparov said at a meeting with judges and employees of the judicial system.

The head of state noted that judges will be able to give their proposals on controversial points.

Zhaparov added judges will be able to correct shortcomings.

The Ala-Archa state residence is hosting the meeting of Kyrgyz President Sadyr Zhaparov with the country’s judges.

The meeting is being held on occasion of the Judiciary Employee Day, celebrated annually in Kyrgyzstan on March 5.

A referendum on the new draft of Kyrgyzstan's Constitution will be held on Apr. 11, 2021.
