Bishkek, Dec.4, 2024. /Kabar/. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Edil Baisalov held a meeting with Florence Bauer, Regional Director of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
The Cabinet’s press service reported that Baisalov expressed gratitude to UNFPA for its support in conducting the census in the country, as well as for assistance in the field of health care.
The sides noted the successful implementation of the project “Strengthening the supply chain of medicines and medical devices”, thanks to which a system of control and tracking of medical supplies is being introduced, as well as the development of a regulatory framework to regulate this area.
Florence Bauer highly appreciated the fruitful cooperation of UNFPA with the Kyrgyz Republic and confirmed the Fund's readiness to continue supporting the country in the field of population and investment in human capital.
