Bishkek, March 7, 2024. /Kabar/. UNICEF has equipped 100 schools in Kyrgyzstan with computer classes, the Ministry of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic reported.
The equipment was provided as part of a project to ensure quality education and mitigate the impact of COVID-19 on the education system, funded by the Japanese government.
The project covered schools in new buildings in the cities of Bishkek, Osh and in the regions of the country.
The estimated cost of the project was more than 58 million soms (650 thousand US dollars).
It should be noted that thanks to these computer classes, the first large-scale online lesson on digitalization and digital security was conducted in Kyrgyzstan for children in 217 schools.
