Bishkek, June 4, 2021. / Kabar /. A unified online climate knowledge and information platform on climate change has been created in Kyrgyzstan www.climatehub.kg

The creation of a climate platform was made possible with the support of the UNCC: Learn Project on Climate Change Education in the Kyrgyz Republic, which was implemented by the Climate Finance Center of the Kyrgyz Republic with financial support from the Swiss government and methodological support from UNITAR and UNDP.

The main purpose of this platform is to strengthen institutional capacity, provide information and create a dialogue platform on climate change and climate finance for all stakeholders. The creation of the platform will provide an opportunity for stakeholders to exchange experience, knowledge and information; improve communication between stakeholders and the general public by providing access to research, reports, publications, lessons learned and other documents; and to promote informed decision-making by the Kyrgyz government on climate change issues.

The creation of a single platform to provide access to climate data and research, knowledge in the field of climate change and information on the work carried out in this direction in Kyrgyzstan was recommended by representatives of key government and public organizations during the discussion of a plan of comprehensive measures for training on climate change issues within the framework of the project UNCC: Learn.

On the platform www.climatehub.kg one can find information about events and news from partners in Kyrgyzstan, projects and studies of government agencies, development partners and non-governmental organizations. One of the most important dialogue tools will be a forum where all stakeholders and members of the public can discuss any initiatives in the field of climate change and the environment.
