Union of Contractors of Turkey expresses interest in investing in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Jan. 31, 2019. / Kabar /. A meeting of the Kyrgyz delegation headed by Kyrgyz Economy Minister Oleg Pankratov with members of the Union of Contractors of Turkey (TMB) took place in Ankara, Turkey.

The press service of the Ministry of Economy of the Kyrgyz Republic reported that, during the meeting, the sides discussed the possibilities of cooperation of the Kyrgyz Republic with the Union of Contractors of Turkey. In particular, The Kyrgyz side made presentations of projects of public private partnership (PPP) of the Kyrgyz Republic in the field of transport, education, energy, sports, etc.

The Kyrgyz side provided information on the legislation of the republic in the field of investment and PPP, benefits and conditions provided by the state to foreign investors. In addition, the sides discussed investing in the Naryn Free Economic Zone, as well as the construction of the At-Bashy trade and logistics center.

Turkish companies expressed interest in investing in the Kyrgyz Republic in the field of energy, construction of reservoirs, etc.

The Union of Turkish Contractors was established in 1952 in the city of Ankara, it is an independent non-governmental organization. Union of Turkish Contractors is a union of leading companies in the construction sector of Turkey. Most of the members of the union operate as international contractors, many of whom are recognized worldwide. The Union began its overseas activities in 1972 in Libya, and has gradually spread throughout the world over the past 45 years. Today, the member companies of the Union continue their activities not only in the construction industry, but also in the production of building materials, energy, tourism, health care and transport around the world.
