Bishkek, Feb. 1, 2020 / Kabar /. US Ambassador to the Kyrgyz Republic Donald Lu has been invited to the Kyrgyz Ministry of Foreign Affairs in connection with the introduction of visa restrictions for Kyrgyz citizens, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry said.
“In connection with the decision of the American side to impose entry restrictions on citizens of Kyrgyzstan, US Ambassador Donald Lu was invited to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic to receive official clarifications,” the report said.
Later, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic will make a statement on this issue.
On Jan. 31, the United States imposed immigrant and diversity visa restrictions for Kyrgyz citizens.
