Bishkek, Nov. 25, 2020 / Kabar /. The United States of America donated 6 high-performance oxygen concentrators to hospitals of Kyrgyzstan as part of help in fight the COVID-19 pandemic.
US Ambassador to the Kyrgyz Republic Donald Lu said during an online briefing that oxygen concentrators are modern life-saving equipment that will supply the intensive care units of hospitals with purified oxygen.
“This equipment is critical for treating patients with severe COVID-19 symptoms. 2 weeks ago, I did not even know about this device, but after my mother and stepfather were taken to the hospital with a coronavirus infection, this miracle device saved them. We are very pleased with the cooperation with the Ministry of Health of Kyrgyzstan. These concentrators will be distributed in five hospitals in the country,” the ambassador said.
He also thanked all medical professionals for their work and self-sacrifice.
