Uzbek company offered creation of joint ventures in Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Oct. 12, 2022. /Kabar/. On October 9, Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Uzbekistan Musa Dzhamanbaev visited one of the largest companies in Uzbekistan – Agrover, the Agro-Industrial Potato Cluster, where he got acquainted with the company's activities, production process, labor organization, storage conditions for potato processing and ongoing projects.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic said that the ambassador, noting the possibility of exporting potatoes from Kyrgyzstan, proposed to consider the cooperation of Kyrgyz potato producers with the Agrover company and the creation of joint ventures in the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The meeting also discussed ways to expand the sale markets for Kyrgyz potatoes in Uzbekistan.

During the meeting, the Uzbek company noted its readiness for possible cooperation in growing seed potatoes and holding negotiations with interested entrepreneurs from Kyrgyzstan. At the same time, it was proposed to determine a single Kyrgyz operator for interaction issues, the report said.

The Embassy proposed organizing a meeting at the site of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Kyrgyz Republic to discuss the development of potato supplies from the Kyrgyz Republic to the Republic of Uzbekistan and further cooperation.
