The Uzbek side expressed its readiness to take part in the design and construction of separate sections of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway, as well as to consider the issue of co-financing as soon as the feasibility study of the project is ready. This became known at the expanded IX meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Commission on Bilateral Cooperation between the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Uzbekistan, which took place in the city of Tashkent, the press service of the Kyrgyz government reported.
The sides agreed to create favorable conditions for railway transportation by providing tariff preferences on a reciprocal basis at the suggestions of the railway administrations of the parties.
Minister of Transport, Architecture, Construction and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic Gulmira Abdralieva explained that within the framework of bilateral cooperation, active interaction is planned on all issues of transport interaction.
In particular, by the summer tourist season, it is planned to work out the issue of launching a bus service from Tashkent to Issyk-Kul, and the parties are also resuming seasonal routes on rail and air communications Tashkent-Balykchy, Tashkent-Tamchy-Tashkent.
At the same time, the sides noted the constructive interaction of transport departments for the development of cooperation in the field of road transport and agreed, taking into account the additional exchange of permit forms to / from third countries for 2021, to establish an exchange quota in the amount of 2 thousand pieces.
