Tashkent, Oct.14, 2019. /Kabar/. Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade hosted meeting with management of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) office in Uzbekistan with the involvement of specialists and experts from ministries and agencies.
During the meeting, the implementation of investment projects with the participation of ADB was discussed, the press service of the Uzbek Ministry of Investment reported.
ADB Country Director for Uzbekistan Cindy Malvicini gave a positive assessment of the pace of withdrawal of funds from ADB loan accounts within the framework of current projects in Uzbekistan, and noted a 2.5-fold increase compared to last year.
The portfolio review considered progress on common initiatives implementation, issues and solutions to ensure that the delivery forecast for the funds mobilized was met.
To date, ADB has been implementing 25 investment projects with ADB's participation in the country for a total amount of $3.9 billion with an annual forecast of a sample of preferential loans from ADB in the amount of $587.0 million.
