Tashkent, Dec. 9, 2020. /Kabar/. 98 Uzbek citizens were brought back to Tashkent from Syria within the framework of "Mehr-3" humanitarian operation (Benevolence-3), UzDaily.com reports.
The operation was conducted on the instruction of President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. 25 women and 73 children were taken from Syria by special flight to Tashkent.
Upon arrival to Uzbekistan, they will be provided with medical, psychological, material and moral assistance.
Necessary conditions will be created for them to return to normal peaceful life and integration into society, access to educational and other social programs, including through adequate housing and employment.
Earlier, the Government of Uzbekistan implemented two humanitarian actions "Mehr-1" and "Mehr-2". As part of these actions, over 220 women and children were returned to Uzbekistan from the conflict zone in the Middle East.
