Tashkent, Feb. 21, 2022 . / Kabar /. From March 1, the practice of requiring a new type of driver's license, documents confirming the registration of the vehicle, the right to use it, as well as a policy of compulsory insurance of civil liability will be abolished in Uzbekistan. This is stated in a corresponding law signed by President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, norma.uz reported.
On Oct. 15, 2021 the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan adopted a decree on measures to introduce information technology in the activities of internal affairs.
According to the decree, starting from March 1, 2022, if driver does not have a number of documents that must be provided to a traffic police officer, the data can be checked by ID-card using a special tablet.
