Tashkent, Feb. 3, 2022 . / Kabar /. The Special Commission on Combating COVID-19 of Uzbekistan cancelled a 10-day quarantine requirement for passengers flying from Australia, Austria, Belgium, Great Britain, Germany, Denmark, Egypt, Israel, Italy, the Netherlands and the Czech Republic.
The press service of the Health Ministry of the republic reported that the requirement has been in force since early December last year, it was introduced due to the spread of new Omicron strain of coronavirus.
International air travel (inbound, outbound and transit flights) with Hong Kong, Botswana, Lesotho, Madagascar, Mozambique, Namibia, Eswatini, South Africa, Tanzania and Zimbabwe has also been restored. This restriction was also imposed in early December.
Third-country nationals who have visited these states in the past 14 days are now allowed into Uzbekistan.
