Uzbekistan confirms 1,450 cases of coronavirus infection

Tashkent, Apr. 18, 2020. /Kabar/. As of 10:00 a.m. Apr. 18, 2020, the number of cases of coronavirus infection in Uzbekistan has reached 1,450, the press service of the Uzbek Health Ministry reported.

76 cases of COVID-19 were detected in the country in past day.

Since Apr. 14, compulsory self-isolation has been imposed in five major cities in Tashkent Region (Chirchik, Almalyk, Bekabad, Yangiyul and Angren). Since Monday, the same regime has been introduced in Tashkent city and regional centers.

To date, 156 people have been cured of coronavirus infection in Uzbekistan, and four have died. This disease was first detected in the country on March 15.
