Uzbekistan confirms 22 new COVID-19 cases, 2,336 in total

Tashkent, May 9, 2020. /Kabar/. As of 10:00 a.m. on May 9, 2020, Uzbekistan’s coronavirus case tally have climbed to 2,336, the press service of the Uzbek Health Ministry reported.

In the past day, 22 more cases of novel coronavirus have been revealed in the country, 119 people have recovered and been transferred to rehabilitation.

Uzbekistan has extended all quarantine measures until May 10. However, on instructions of President Shavkat Mirziyouev, a phased withdrawal from isolation is being undertaken. In particular, from May 8, "red", "yellow" or "green" quarantine levels will be in force based on an assessment of the sanitary and epidemiological situation in the country.

At present, the number of cases of coronavirus infection in Uzbekistan is 2,336, and the number of recoveries is 1,775, more than 500 patients are undergoing treatment, and 10 people have died.
