Tashkent, Jan. 28, 2021. /Kabar/. In 2020, Uzbekistan exported textile products worth $283.9 million to Kyrgyzstan, the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan reported.
Overall last year, Uzbekistan exported textile products worth $1.9 billion to 70 countries, an increase of $295.3 million compared to 2019.
The main exports of textile products from Uzbekistan are in the following countries: Russia - $655.5 million, China - $438.2 million, Kyrgyzstan - $283.9 million, Turkey - $206.1 million, Poland - $43.4 million, Kazakhstan - $42.3 million, Tajikistan - $34.7 million, Ukraine - $33.1 million, Iran - $26.4 million.
By 2025, Uzbekistan plans to process all cotton yarn produced in the country for the domestic market, and thus increase exports of textile products up to $7 billion.
