Uzbekistan fines citizens without masks

Tashkent, March 25. 2020 / Kabar /. From March 25, residents of Uzbekistan will pay a fine for movement without masks from USD 23 to 70. The corresponding decision was made by the Republican Commission for the fight against coronavirus.

From today, people without masks in public places will be taken by officers of the internal affairs bodies and the National Guard to the nearest interior department. An appropriate protocol is drawn up there and the case will be send to the administrative court.

Uzbekistan banned he tmovement without personal protective equipment (masks) since March 23. Warnings have been issued to people who were without masks. From 6:00 March 25, a fine in the amount of 1 base estimated amount (223 thousand soums - USD 23) will be issued for violating this rule, for a repeated violation the fine will be 669 thousand soums – (USD 70).
