8,922 non-governmental non-profit organizations are operating in Uzbekistan, 671 of which are republican NGOs, UzA reported.
The organizational and legal forms of these NGOs are as follows:
7173 – public associations;
713 – institutions;
555 – state funds;
481 – NGOs of other organizational and legal forms (associations, unions).
