Bishkek, Oct. 29, 2021 . / Kabar / . Uzbekistan is extremely interested in stable imports of potatoes from Kyrgyzstan, Askarbek Dzhanybekov, the Minister of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan said at a press conference.
He noted that serious negotiations are underway with neighbors regarding exports.
"Thus, Uzbekistan is extremely interested in stable imports of potatoes from our republic in the amount of 500 thousand tons annually. This is in view of the fact that we produce 1 million 300 thousand tons of potatoes a year from the area of 74 hectares. That is, these half a million exports account for 40%. This is a serious volume," said the minister.
