Tashkent, June 17, 2019. /Kabar/. The solemn opening ceremony of the international eco-tourist festival Chimgan Echo-2019 took place in Tashkent, the press service of the State Committee for Tourism Development of Uzbekistan reported.
The main goals of the festival are to bring up young people's love for a healthy lifestyle, strengthen friendly ties with neighboring and far-abroad countries, as well as the development of sports and mountain tourism in Uzbekistan.
The program of the festival includes a number of competitions on types of sports tourism, in particular, skyranning (speed climbing, rock climbing, mountain biking, etc., as well as environmental action “We are for a clean Chimgan”. Within the framework of the event there will be also a contest of author's songs of international tourism with the participation of singers from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and other countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
Chimgan tourist zone is located in the spurs of the Chatkal Ridge of the western Tien Shan in Bostanlyk district of Tashkent region, 80 km from Tashkent city.
Chimgan is a popular tourist destination of Uzbekistan. Annually, thousands of tourists not only from all over the country, but also from abroad visit this zone.
