Electric vehicle imports increased fourfold in the first two months of 2024, Kun.uz reported.
According to preliminary data from the Statistics Agency, Uzbekistan imported 3,502 electric vehicles worth $85.7 million in January-February 2024.
The import of electric vehicles has increased by 2,663 units or fourfold compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
Uzbekistan has imported electric cars from 7 foreign countries over the two months.
The countries from which Uzbekistan imported the most electric vehicles during the reporting period:
- China – 3,479 units
- UAE – 8 units
- Hong Kong – 5 units
