Tashkent, Oct.9 2019 /Kabar/. By 2030 the Government of Uzbekistan intends to achieve a GDP growth of 2.1 times, a per capita GDP growth of 3 times, an increase in life expectancy to 78-80 years and full provision of housing. This is provided in the draft Concept of the Social and Economic Development of Uzbekistan 2030, published by the Economy Ministry, the regulation.gov.uz government portal reported.
The document defines 7 priority directions of social and economic development of the country.
According to the forecast of the Concept, the growth of real GDP should be increased by 2.1 times (from USD 50.505 billion in 2018 to USD 176.78 billion), and per capita GDP in foreign currency - by 3 times (from USD 1533 to USD 4538). For the achievement the set goals, there is need to maintain the average annual economic growth rate of at least 6.4%.
The average annual inflation rate should reach 4.4% in 2030 against 17.5% in 2018 and the expected 14.9% in 2020.
The achieved value of per capita GDP by 2030 will allow Uzbekistan to enter the group of upper-middle-income countries.
