Uzbekistan interested in importing products from Kyrgyzstan

Bishkek, Oct. 8, 2024. /Kabar/. The Kyrgyz business delegation met with representatives of the wholesale distribution center Food City in Uzbekistan, the Kyrgyz Export Center reported.

During the meeting, warehouses and freezers of the center were inspected, the Center reported.

The issues of placement of Kyrgyz products in Food City, as well as the supply of fruit and vegetables, food, fish and meat and dairy products were discussed. Potatoes from Kyrgyzstan are successfully supplied to the Uzbek market.

In addition, familiarization tours were conducted for the Kyrgyz delegation to the Al Hilal sausage and Horrot Fish plants.

FOODCITY is the largest wholesale market of fruit and vegetable products and one of the largest food distribution centers in Uzbekistan, located on a 60 ha plot of land.

The fresh food market serves independent retailers, supermarket chains, service providers, exporters, food processing companies, restaurants and catering outlets.

Food City's infrastructure includes two types of shopping complexes through which both large and small purchases can be made at wholesale prices. Office and warehouse space, a hotel building, various restaurants and cafes, parking lots for trucks and cars, and truck waiting areas.
