Tashkent, March 24, 2020./Kabar/. Since March 24, Uzbekistan introduces a strengthened procedure to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection.
Such a decision was adopted by the Uzbek Government, the press service of the Operational Headquarters for preventing the spread of coronavirus infection reported.
According to the decision, entry to Tashkent from the regions (movement of buses, minibuses, cars, rail and air transport) is suspended.
The decision was taken because most cases of COVID-19 coronavirus were detected in Tashkent.
At the same time, entry and exit to Tashkent are allowed to persons permanently registered in the city.
The document states that those entering and leaving Tashkent will be required to undergo medical monitoring to detect symptoms of coronavirus infection.
All vehicles, goods and cargo entering or leaving Uzbekistan from abroad will be subject to disinfection on a mandatory basis.
The government has banned all markets in Tashkent, Karakalpakstan and regions, with the exception of dehkan markets.
The number of people infected with the coronavirus infection in Uzbekistan has reached 46. The first COVID-19 case was registered on March 15.
