Tashkent, Sept. 18, 2020. /Kabar/. As of Sept. 18, Uzbekistan’s number of identified cases of coronavirus infection has reached 49 thousand 994, the press service of the republic’s Health Ministry reported Friday.
In the past day, 609 fresh cases were reported, 618 patients have cured and 6 more have died.
As it was reported earlier, starting from Oct. 1 the Central Asian republic will open its borders, entry and exit through air, railway and automobile checkpoints will be allowed.
Since the outbreak of the virus, 45 thousand 474 (92%) patients throughout Uzbekistan have recovered from COVID-19, and 417 have passed away.
Currently, 3 thousand 485 patients are receiving treatment in hospitals.
