Bishkek, Jan. 31, 2022 . / Kabar / . According to the State Statistics Committee, the permanent population of Uzbekistan as of January 1, 2022, amounted to 35 million 271.3 thousand people, up by 712.4 thousand (2.1%) compared to the corresponding period of last year, KunUz reported.
Over the year, the number of women increased by 346.6 thousand people (2.0%) and men – by 365.7 thousand people (2.1%).
According to the United Nations Population Fund, as of January 1, 2021, the total population of the world is 7 billion 875 million.
The Republic of Uzbekistan ranks 43rd in the world in terms of population.
