BISHKEK, Aug. 16, 2017 / Kabar /. Uzbekistan is ready for constructive and mutually beneficial cooperation with Kyrgyzstan, Uzbek Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov said speaking at an expanded meeting of the Kyrgyz-Uzbek intergovernmental commission for bilateral cooperation in Bishkek.
"Kyrgyzstan is our close neighbor, a reliable and long-term partner. The destinies of our countries and peoples are closely interrelated, have a common history, cultural and spiritual values. Uzbekistan has consistently remained committed to an open, benevolent, pragmatic policy towards its closest neighbors, including Kyrgyzstan. We are ready for a constructive, mutually beneficial cooperation with Kyrgyzstan," Aripov said.
Uzbek Prime Minister said that since September 2016, bilateral relations in all key areas have noticeably revived. This was made possible through constant contacts between the presidents of the two countries. The heads of state opened an entirely new page of Uzbek-Kyrgyz relations.
The prime minister believes that holding today's meeting of the intergovernmental commission is a good opportunity to deeply analyze the current state of bilateral relations and develop practical measures to expand them. "I am confident that today we will reach agreements on all key areas of Kyrgyz-Uzbek cooperation," he said.
He also said that Uzbekistan is making every effort to develop and expand trade and economic relations. Aripov expressed confidence that with each year these indicators will grow.
