Tashkent, May 4, 2020. /Kabar/. As of 10:00 a.m. on May 4, 2020 Uzbekistan’s coronavirus case tally has reached 2,160, the press service of the Health Ministry reported.
In the past day, 33 new COVID-19 cases have been identified in the republic, 48 patients have recovered, one more patient died.
A resident of Namangan who was diagnosed with coronavirus infection died the day before.
The patient was hospitalized on Apr. 20, laboratory tests confirmed COVID-19 presence.
He was connected to ventilator for 14 days, but died of acute respiratory and pulmonary heart failure despite the medical care provided.
1,319 patients have been completely cured of COVID-19 in Uzbekistan, 10 people have died. The disease was first detected in the country on March 15.
All quarantine measures in the republic were extended until May 10. However, from Apr. 30, a partial easing of these measures began. From May 4, the Ministry of Internal Affairs resumes receiving citizens on registration and passport issues.
