Uzbekistan reports 299 new COVID-19 cases, total at 43,775

Tashkent, Sept. 7, 2020. /Kabar/. Uzbekistan’s total number of cases of COVID-19 has climbed to 43 thousand 775 on Monday after 299 new ones were revealed in the past day.

According to the press service of the country’s Health Ministry, another 397 coronavirus patients have recovered over the past 24 hours, and 5 more have passed away.

Visits to religious institutions were resumed in the country on Sept. 4, and cinemas, theaters and recreation parks, as well as public catering facilities (cafes, restaurants, canteens and teahouses) were reopened on Sept. 5, with strict observance of quarantine security measures. Border with Kyrgyzstan has been opened.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, number of nationwide recoveries has reached 42 thousand 277 (94%), and death toll stands at 350.

2 thousand 148 citizens are receiving treatment, 375 of them are in severe condition, state of 219 assessed as extremely serious.
