Uzbekistan reports about 221st case of novel coronavirus

Tashkent, Apr.3, 2020./Kabar/. As of 9:00 a.m. on Friday morning, the number of confirmed coronavirus cases in Uzbekistan increased by 16 to 221, Chief State Sanitary Inspector of the republic Nurmat Atabekov said.

According to him, seventeen patients are receiving treatment at the Research Institute of Virology in Tashkent, they are developing pneumonia. The condition of 4 patients is severe, of whom 2 are stably severe.

"Many citizens still do not understand the gravity of the situation," Nurmat Atabekov said. Many have violated quarantine rules.

"No one has the right to ignore the recommendations of doctors and endanger the health of other people," the chief sanitary inspector added.
