Tashkent, Aug. 26, 2020. /Kabar/. As of Aug. 26, total number of Uzbekistan’s coronavirus cases has risen to 39 thousand 790.
In the past day, 284 new cases were registered throughout the republic, 432 patients have recovered and 7 have passed away, the press service of the Uzbek Health Ministry reported.
Gradual easing of quarantine requirements started in the country on Aug. 15.
Public transport, including the metro, as well as air, car and rail links between regions have been resumed in Tashkent. Requirements have been set for the resumption of various activities, as well as restrictions that will continue to apply.
The mode of "red", "yellow" and "green" zones has been reintroduced. President Shavkat Mirziyoyev demanded that strict discipline should remain the paramount rule for everyone.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 35 551 (90%) Uzbekistanis have cured of novel coronavirus, and 289 have died.
There are 3,518 people undergoing treatment, 294 of whom are in serious condition and state of 110 assessed as extremely serious.
