Tashkent, March 14, 2022 . / Kabar /. Full restoration of transport communication between Uzbekistan and Russia is expected in the near future, UzA news agency reported.
The Russian Ministry of Transport has sent a request to Uzbekistan’s Headquarters for Combating COVID-19 to lift the ban on international passenger transportation. This means the resumption in the near future of railway communication with the countries of the near abroad, the report said.
Earlier, Russia lifted restrictions on flights to Uzbekistan, imposed because of the coronavirus pandemic. Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Iran were also on the list.
