Bishkek, April 1, 2021 / Kabar /. On April 1, Uzbekistan has started mass vaccination of the population against coronavirus infection, which has been a serious threat to human health for more than a year, UzA reported.
As previously reported, preparations were conducted for the use of Uzbekistan – China ZF-UZ-VAC2001 vaccine and the European AstraZeneca vaccine in the vaccination process.
In April, it is planned to vaccinate 142.3 thousand people in 219 vaccination centers in Tashkent, Nukus and regional centers, primarily persons at the age over 65 and medical workers who are at high risk of contracting coronavirus.
Citizens with chronic diseases, school teachers, PEI employees, military personnel and law enforcement employees will also be vaccinated.
3138 vaccination centers and 862 mobile medical teams are organized throughout the country. 17 refrigerator trucks, 206 minivans and 16 passenger cars were delivered within the framework of the global COVAX program.
According to the Ministry of Health, more than 4,000 doctors and more than 11,000 secondary health workers are involved in the vaccination process.
