Uzbekistan temporarily bans export of pharmaceutical products

Tashkent, July 19, 2020. /Kabar /. According to the decision of the Special Republican Commission for fighting against Coronavirus, the export of pharmaceutical products from Uzbekistan, as well as export by individuals, are temporarily suspended, the press service of the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan reported.

At the same time, certain types of pharmaceutical products can be exported exclusively by decisions of a special commission. The procedure for issuing permits for the export of pharmaceutical products will be published later.

Earlier, the special commission approved a list of drugs that patients with coronavirus will receive for free at home.

On July 15, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, at a video conference meeting, instructed to introduce a mechanism to curb the rise in drug prices.

For this, in each oblast, as well as in the capital, working groups were formed from employees of the Department for Combating Economic Crimes, the State Tax Committee, territorial offices of the Antimonopoly Committee, the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry and others.
